BURTONI Flamingo PIN (LE of 420)
$20.00
Ben Burton began blowing glass in 1999 in Hawaii as a hobby, making pendants and small vessels for fun. Around 2007 it became a full-time job making sea life pendants, small sculptures and marbles to sell at local craft fairs and art shows around O'ahu. In 2010 Ben made the move to the mainland to join the boro industry and began a year and a half long road trip across the country working with established and talented artists as well as looking for a new place to settle down and start over. This road trip helped establish Burtoni as a pipe-maker and helped him learn, grow and develop his own style. Now he resides in Denver, and is a member of the Shack Mansion continuing to focus on the boro hustle alongside a group of other motivated and highly capable artists.
Because of his background, most of Ben's work revolves around the ocean and animal kingdoms as well as collaborating with other artists. Squid, octopus and other sea life are common themes in Ben's work, as well as the more recent Flamingo series he's been producing, all of which have been combined with the styles and help of others to create larger more dynamic pieces of collaborative work.
This pin is 1.75", double posted, numbered x/420. All PipePins are limited edition and made with the permission of the original artist.
